Frequently Asked Questions

To qualify for consideration a student must meet the three criteria:

  • a minimum of 54 credit hours
  • all pre-business courses listed in the relevant undergraduate catalog with a least a C grade in each
  • an overall 3.0 GPA

Students are ranked on only one criterion: cumulative CNU GPA.

The catalog for the year in which a student first enters the university. The requirements listed in that catalog form the degree requirements for that student.

Approximately 200 students enter the BSBA program each year. This number includes transfer students. Approximately 150 students are accepted from the spring applications (admitted to the school for the following fall semester) and 50 students are accepted from the fall applications (admitted for the following spring semester).

Students who have been accepted into the university and meet the three criteria above are eligible to apply to the program in their first term at CNU. Transfer students are also ranked based on their cumulative GPA (from their prior institution(s)).

If a transfer student is not ready to apply to Luter in his or her first term then he or she will apply in the term when all the criteria are met. The student will be treated as a continuing CNU student and the decision will be based on the CNU GPA.

No. The selection process is based strictly on cumulative GPA.

All majors require the three criteria above. BUT the accounting major requires a grade of at least B- in ACCT 201 and ACCT 202 in the pre-business courses.

A student who has completed all pre-business courses at the time of application and has a cumulative GPA over 3.0 may be accepted.

A student who is completely the last pre-business courses in the term in which they are applying and has at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA will receive a conditional acceptance. At the conclusion of the term the students transcript will be checked and if they have successfully completed the remaining pre-business courses with at least a "C" grade and have a cumulative GPA over 3.0 they may be accepted.

A student who applies in the spring term and is completing the pre-business courses over the summer and has a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application will be given a conditional deferral. By the conclusion of the summer the student must show that they have successfully completed the remaining courses and if they have a cumulative GPA over 3.0 they may be accepted.
