Student Feedback

Christopher Newport University is committed to addressing all student complaints. In all cases, we advise students to put their concerns in writing and provide documentation of the events that led to the complaint.

A student may submit a complaint on academic or non-academic matters. The student should first identify the person or office most closely involved with the problem. For example, if the concern is with an academic course, the student should first approach the instructor. Follow-up may occur with the department chair and college dean.

Complaints about non-academic matters should be directed to a director-level supervisor (e.g., dean of admission). If the student is not satisfied with the resolution, he or she may then direct the complaint to the appropriate office listed below.
