Academic Advising

Making a Plan

Professors understand the importance of academic advising for student success. They work closely with you in mapping out a strong plan of success for your college and postgraduate years.

Faculty Core Advisers

As a first-year student, you will be assigned a faculty core adviser who will work with you during your first and second years. Your core adviser will be there providing guidance for your academic endeavors and assisting you in making the transition into college life as you take your place as an active member of the CNU community.

Faculty Major Advisers

Once you have declared your major, you will be assigned a faculty major adviser from your major department. Your major adviser will work closely with you, guiding you in the completion of your academic requirements and the transition process into graduate school and/or career opportunities.
