Captains Card

To receive your Captains Card on move-in day (freshman) or during Welcome Week (transfer students), we ask you to submit your Captains Card photo online as early as possible, but no later than July 31.

If you do not submit your photo online, you must come to the Welcome Desk in the David Student Union to have your Captains Card made, and then return to the move-in line at your residence hall.

Your photo should be taken against a plain background, with no filters or effects applied. For best results, take your photo from the shoulders up, and make sure that your face is visible without any hats, sunglasses or other accessories.

1. Go to myCNU, click myLinks, and then log in with your CNU credentials.
2. Under Single Sign-On Services, click Captains Card.
3. At the top of the page, click Profile, and then click Click to Submit New Photo.

Replacement Captains Cards

Students must pay for a replacement card. Effective July 1, 2023 the fee schedule is as follows:

• Resident Replacement Card - $30
• Commuter Replacement Card - $20

If your Captains Card is stolen, there is no replacement cost if you have a copy of a police report or case number. The cost to replace a damaged Captains Card will be assessed at the time of replacement. Please bring a valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, military ID, passport).

After attending orientation and/or receiving your login credentials, upload your Captains Card photo.

1. Go to my.cnu.edu, click myLinks, and then log in with your CNU credentials.
2. Under Single Sign-On Services, click Captains Card.
3. At the top of the page, click Profile, and then click “Click to Submit New Photo.”

Once your photo is uploaded, go to the DSU Welcome Desk to have your Captains Card printed. You can also have your photo taken at the DSU Welcome Desk.

• Faculty Replacement Card - $20
• Staff Replacement Card - $20

Captains Cash is money deposited by the cardholder to be used campus-wide and at participating off-campus merchants. Captains Cash also acts as a "back-up funding source" should you run out of Dinning Dollars or Print Funds.

• Student clinic (Health and Wellness Services)

Dining Dollars are a part of your meal plan. Dining Dollars can only be used at on-campus dining halls and restaurants.

Places to use your Dining Dollars:

• Concessions
• Discovery Bistro
• Discovery Cafe (Chick-fil-A and Grille)
• Discovery Pizza
• Einstein's Cafe
• Regattas
• The Commons
• The Palette Café

Dining Dollars Deposit Policy

• Each student who is signed up for a meal plan will receive a $50 deposit the day before classes begin.
• Any student who adds a meal plan during the first week of classes will also receive $50 initially.
• Then, seven days after classes begin, students will receive an adjustment (if applicable) to their Dining Dollars account.
• The last day to use Dining Dollars is the last day of exams, each semester.

Students receive $20 in Print Funds at the beginning of each semester. The last day to use Print Funds is the last day of exams, each semester.

Summer students receive $5 per class. These funds remain valid only during the term period of that specific class.

Places to use Print Funds:

• Printers and/or copiers located in Trible Library
• Printers and/or copiers located in the David Student Union, Forbes Hall and McMurran Hall
• All printers print in color, copy, copy in color and scan to email
