Resources for Students
We help students explore and identify major and career paths beginning in your first year of enrollment, and help you set and achieve goals throughout your undergraduate career.
Our tagline is “You Get Jobs By Talking to People.” We facilitate connections with employers and graduate school recruiters to publicize opportunities and prepare you for career success.
By the time you reach 60 credit hours, you must declare a major. This can be a difficult decision and we can help you in a number of ways. We also offer a variety of helpful self-assessment tools, including:
- The STRONG Interest Inventory
- The FOCUS Career Management System
These assessments can help you figure out what program will be best for you. After you complete an assessment, you will meet with one of our coaches to discuss your results and make an action plan.
When you are ready to declare your major, complete a Change of Major form.
Check out our “What Can I Do with a Major In” guides to explore which kinds of careers you can pursue with different majors.

We understand the importance of presenting yourself in the best possible light when applying for opportunities. That's why we emphasize the significance of reviewing and proofreading your applications before submitting them.
Proofreading is an essential step that should not be overlooked. It allows you to catch any typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, or inconsistencies that might unintentionally diminish the impact of your application. By dedicating time to carefully review your documents, you can ensure they reflect your professionalism and attention to detail.
Remember, a well-polished application not only demonstrates your commitment to excellence but also increases your chances of leaving a positive impression on potential employers or admissions committees.
Investing time in reviewing and proofreading your applications will undoubtedly pay off in your pursuit of career success.
