About Parking at CNU

Lots are clearly marked to match the color designation on your decal.

CNU campus map

All student lots are open 5:30 p.m.-7:30 a.m., Monday – Friday, and from 5:30 p.m. on Friday – 7:30 a.m. on Monday, except East Campus lots (CNU Apartments, Landing, Crossing and Village) and Rappahannock River Hall parking deck.

Faculty/Staff lots C1, C2, K and L are also open 5:30 p.m.-7:30 a.m., Monday – Friday, and from 5:30 p.m. on Friday – 7:30 a.m. on Monday. A decal is required during open parking times.

Faculty/Staff lots D, M and CNU North, as well as Lot B (Visitor Parking), University Police, reserved and ADA parking lots and spaces are restricted every day, 24 hours a day.

Parking changes and/or lot closures necessary to accommodate special events on campus will be communicated to faculty, staff and students via CNU email.

Guests of students who will be visiting and parking on campus must have a visitor pass, which can be picked up by the visitor, accompanied by a registered student, during business hours at the Parking Services office or after business hours at the Police Department.

The visitor pass may also be picked up by a registered student on behalf of the visitor.

Faculty, staff and students are never allowed to park in Lot B. If using an alternate vehicle on campus, visit Parking Services to obtain a temporary parking pass allowing you to park in your assigned lot.

Temporary passes are valid for up to 14 days.

Please notify Parking Services if leaving your vehicle parked on campus, as they may require you to park in a specific location.

Decals

Decals can be purchased online. Additional student decals cannot be ordered online. If you wish to order an additional decal, please visit the Parking Services Office with your vehicle registration. Day (commuter) students are entitled to one free additional decal per year.

More information on parking decals can be found at my.cnu.edu/parking/decals.

Decals must be secured to the outside lower left portion of the vehicle’s rear window.

You must go to Parking Services with your old decal, where you will be issued a new decal for your new vehicle, at no charge.

President’s Circle decals cannot be used as an every day parking decal or in lieu of a regular parking decal.

Accounts and Citations

Parking citations can be paid online 24 hours a day. Select parking citations receive a 50% discount if paid within 24 hours of the citation being issued. To receive this discount, eligible parking citations must be paid in person in the Parking Services office.

Parking Services puts a hold on student accounts for failure to pay a parking citation within 30 days. Once payment is made, the hold will be removed by 6 a.m. the following day.
