Leadership Development

Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders Program is a four-week leadership development series designed to enhance freshman and sophomore understanding of practical leadership, self-awareness and their responsibility to use talents and skills to serve a greater purpose. The program is a best fit for those who have not had much leadership experience in the past, or have had none at all.

The program seeks to evaluate five competencies throughout the four workshops:

  • Leadership knowledge
  • Confidence
  • Self-awareness
  • Involvement goals
  • Motivation

All workshop content, theories and material are based off the book Learning Leadership by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, but are adapted each semester.

L.E.A.D. Series

The Leadership Exploration and Development (L.E.A.D.) Series is a short-term workshop series designed for students who have some leadership experience. Each series has a different topic or focus, all providing guidance to enhance students' ability to lead in an organization and within their greater community.
