Leadership Development
Emerging Leaders
The Emerging Leaders Program is a four-week leadership development series designed to enhance freshman and sophomore understanding of practical leadership, self-awareness and their responsibility to use talents and skills to serve a greater purpose. The program is a best fit for those who have not had much leadership experience in the past, or who have had none at all.
The program seeks to evaluate five competencies throughout the four workshops:
- Leadership knowledge
- Confidence
- Self-awareness
- Involvement goals
- Motivation
All workshop content, theories and material are based off the book Learning Leadership by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, but are adapted each semester.
Registration opens the first month of each semester. Be sure to check the Office of Student Engagement social media and the campus announcements email from Student Activities for the link to register.
