Higher Education Terms to Know
Many first-gen students come to college and are unfamiliar with terms used in higher education. They also may not have anyone to ask or be comfortable asking when they do come across something they don’t know about. That is why we have compiled a list of Higher Education Terms to Know as a reference guide to provide answers to some of those questions.
Have a question? Just ask!
First-time students, especially those who are first-generation, often will have questions or concerns about various aspects of higher education and college life. The Center for Student Success (CSS) provides information and resources to help, but we know it’s likely you’ll still come across things you don’t know. That’s okay and why we’re here!
Use our form to send in your questions and a CSS staff member will get back to you.
