Summer Housing
Christopher Newport University offers summer housing to students enrolled in summer classes, conducting summer research with faculty, and summer student employees. Late stay options for students required to remain here beyond the end of their academic year housing agreement may be available in limited circumstances.
Summer housing is located in James River Hall in the apartment-style units which offer private rooms, an in-unit bathroom, and a full kitchen.
To request summer housing, complete a summer Housing Contract Acceptance form and submit it to the University Housing Office. Eligible students will be assigned a room based on availability and when the contract is received. In some circumstances, students currently living on campus may be required to change rooms for the summer, and they may then be required to change rooms at the end of summer to their academic year assignment.
