How to Conduct a Fair and Equitable Search for Classified/Hourly Search Chairs

All newly assigned search chairs must complete this required training in order to conduct a classified or hourly recruitment. This training is also recommended for any member of the search committee who wishes to broaden their knowledge of the recruitment process and fully understand their role and responsibilities as a member of the search committee.

Through shared techniques and presentation information, participants will learn how to successfully conduct a fair and equitable recruitment. During the training, human resources staff will provide examples of how to navigate the online recruitment system, appropriately screen applicants, conduct interviews, select an applicant for hire and establish final appointment procedures for the new employee.
