Residence Hall Association

CNU's Residence Hall Association (RHA) serves the interests of residential students by providing purposeful events and activities as well as responding to concerns and initiative requests. Each residential student is automatically a part of RHA and is welcome to attend any general meeting and RHA events.

Annual Programs Include:

Fall Semester

  • Tie Dye-Versity: each student receives a free white t-shirt to tie dye. Each color has a meaning, giving students the opportunity to create something that represents them.
  • Trick-or-Treat: faculty and staff are invited to take their families through the first-year residence halls to go trick-or-treating. The each hall is decorated by the residents in hopes of winning the best decorated hall prize.
  • S’more’s Social: students are encouraged to stop by the JR courts to warm up by the fire, drink hot chocolate, and make some s’mores.
  • Pancake Breakfast: on the Sunday before finals, Commons turns into a pancake house. Served by faculty and staff, students get to relax and eat all the pancakes and bacon they can before getting back to studying. All the proceeds earned from this event go straight to Toys-for-Tots.
  • Town Halls (2): this is an open forum for students to express their concerns and ideas for how to improve the residence halls.

Spring Semester

  • Roommate Mixer: just in time for the Housing Lottery, this event is for students searching for potential roommates or suitemates for the upcoming year through a speed-dating type set up.
  • Ice Cream Truck: celebrate the nearing of summer with RHA as they drive around campus in a golf cart passing out free ice-cream.
  • Town Halls (2): this is an open forum for students to express their concerns and ideas for how to improve the residence halls.
